Larry studied Shorin-Ryu in the late 1980's and then was a Goju-Ryu student in the 1990's After a short break Larry returned to studying Shorin-Ryu at Black Bear Dojo in 2009. Larry earned is San -Dan , third degree black belt, in 2023 under the Reihokan system of Shorin-Ryu. Larry has become an integral part of the Black Bear team and is responsible for teaching classes for the Tigers and Lions programs. Larry continues to further his knowledge of the martial arts by attending classes regularly as well as he participates in additional regional seminars. Larry is currently a with children in the public school system as a Para Professional as well as a professional photographer for several local news papers.
