Lions Karate
Ages 5-7
Our Lions program will challenge students to realize their goals and potentials while cultivating positive qualities on and off the mat. The curriculum draws on the forms and drills of Reihokan Shorin-Ryu to teach responsibility, confidence, coordination, and good judgment. Our instructors stress the importance of positive behaviors and role-modeling. To encourage development of these behaviors, Lions students are mentored by our teenage students through instructor assistantships. Students are taught the importance of hard work, enforced through the rank-earning process. Students in the Lions program are evaluated according to the traditional Reihokan Shorin-Ryu testing procedures, where they learn to succeed independently in an encouraging environment.
