Kobudo, the traditional weapons arts of Okinawa and the Ryukyu Islands, is practiced in the system of Reihokan Shorin-ryu. Ahagon Hanshi's legacy is equally inclusive of karate and kobudo. We have a separate curriculum for Kobudo in place, so that our students may achieve rank in this art while using it to learn more about Okinawan culture and expand their knowledge of the martial arts. Many students choose to participate in both karate and kobudo classes simultaneously and integrate their studies this way. Our practiced Kobudo includes the study of bo, sai, nunchaku, tonfa, kama and eku.
